SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor 12 – What’s New?
SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor 12 is the latest release of SolarWinds NPM, the revolutionary network monitoring software that pinpoints performance issues with end-to-end visibility. There are a number of new features that have been introduced with version 12 and 12.1. NPM v12 saw four new features being implemented. This included ServiceNow integration, a new and improved user interface, comprehensive monitoring of F5 BIG-IP products, and hop-by-hop analysis across the critical paths. The latter enabled users to view the configuration details, traffic, and performance of on-premise applications and devices, as well as those across hybrid environments and in the cloud.
SolarWinds NPM 12.1 was also a significant update which saw Native SSL support for the Orion Web Console and Meraki wireless support implemented. SolarWinds also enabled users to prevent false positive alerts by muting alerts for nodes during performance maintenance. One of the biggest changes was the introduction of a Performance Analysis dashboard, enabling users to get in-depth and broad visibility into their entire environment. Other improvements include being able to use the web-based SSH client when FIPS is enabled, set custom node statuses, filter data in a report or trigger an alert with the Critical node status, NetPath improvements, and Arista 7500E support.
As you can see, SolarWinds are continuously improving their software products, which is one of the reasons they have such an outstanding reputation in the industry.
